The Idea Table is an open, facilitated conversation for people carrying an idea, question or early possibility and wanting to examine it more carefully before deciding what to do next.
It is not an incubation programme. It is a reflective entry point into founder development.
The Idea Table
Facilitated group conversation
People exploring an idea or early possibility
Clarity · assumptions · choices · next steps
Reflective · practical · founder-facing
An idea often arrives before the founder is ready to explain it neatly. Sometimes it is a possibility. Sometimes a frustration. Sometimes simply the feeling that something could be done differently.
The Idea Table creates room to examine that early thinking without forcing it prematurely into a pitch deck, business model or programme. The objective is not to declare an idea good or bad. It is to help the person behind it see more clearly, ask better questions and decide what deserves to happen next.
The intimacy of the group matters. With only 12–15 people, there is enough diversity to provoke new thinking and enough space for every voice to be heard.
Small enough for honest conversation, genuine listening and questions that are difficult to ask in a crowded room.
We explore the choices, doubts, possibilities and realities behind creating something new, not merely the mechanics of a startup.
The aim is to leave with greater clarity, better questions and a practical sense of what to explore, test or decide next.
The Idea Table is deliberately different from a pitch event, startup competition or lecture. Nobody is expected to arrive with a polished business case, defend an idea before a panel or leave with a prescribed ten-step plan.
It is a founder-development conversation. The value comes from thinking aloud, listening to others, challenging assumptions and allowing the next useful question to emerge.
The event visual below can change for every Table while this page remains evergreen. When a date is announced, this section becomes the live registration point.

The Idea Table is intentionally small and conversational. Registering your interest helps us understand who would like to join a future Table and what they are currently exploring.
There is no pitch requirement and registering interest does not confirm a seat. We will get back to you when the next suitable conversation is scheduled.
Once you confirm, the registration form will appear below.
Like other short-term group interventions, The Idea Table is supported by the FCD Companion Series. They give participants a structured way to keep exploring the founder journey after the conversation ends.
Stories, reflections and practical perspective across the founder journey.
AI tools and their relevance organised across the Seven Tracks.
For some participants, the right next step may simply be to think longer. Others may be ready to test an idea, strengthen their foundations, work intensively on a particular challenge or seek ongoing advisory support.
The Idea Table is therefore not Stage One of a fixed programme. It is one way to begin a more deliberate founder journey.
